About

The Woodbury Bridge Club is a social organization of contract bridge players.

All players pay $30.00 annually to the City of Woodbury for use of its facilities.  Players may register with the City at WoodburyRecreation.com or at the Recreation desk at Central Park.

Club members also pay $10.00 per fiscal year (beginning October 1st) as dues to the Club itself. Members may choose to join the American Contract Bridge League, but ACBL membership is not required by the Club.

Because of the reconstruction of Central Park, the Woodbury Bridge Club events will be moved to the Shawnee Park warming house near Battle Creek Lake (see map) beginning March 18, 2024. The current Central Park location will be unavailable until some time in 2025.

The Club sponsors “chat” bridge – no partner required – from 9:30 AM to noon on most Tuesdays.  Chat bridge is educational for contract bridge players – players can request help/instruction from bridge coaches, currently Victoria Jacobson and Bill Anderson. For more information, contact Dave Wilhelm (WoodburyBC@gmail.com or 612-810-4989.)

The Club sponsors duplicate bridge sessions – partner recommended – on most Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Cost is $2.00 per person.  Some duplicate sessions may be ACBL sanctioned sessions. See the Duplicate Page for more information.

The Club helps facilitate a Wednesday duplicate session at the American Legion Bar in North St. Paul. See the Duplicate Page for more information.

The Club asks that all players – social or duplicate – do their best to make bridge an enjoyable experience. See the attached “Play Nice” poster for some guidelines.
