Are you at all curious about the “2 over 1 Game Force” bidding system? Have you wondered what the ACBL Convention Card is all about, and what are some of the most popular bidding conventions in use today?
Classes will be held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month starting on March 2, 2026 at 10:30 AM. We encourage partnerships to attend together (so they can learn together and not get confused), but individuals without a partner are also welcome.
The course will start with the “2 over 1 Game Force” bidding system, and continue with filling out the standard ACBL Convention Card, and explaining some of the more useful bidding conventions. If you want to learn some of the conventions you’ve heard about, like New Minor Forcing and Support Doubles, this is for you.
All course materials will be provided by the instructor. Each session there will be a handout covering that session’s materials. A folder will be provided to each participant.
Forget “25 Bidding Conventions You Need to Know” as well as “25 More Bidding Conventions You Need to Know!” We’ll follow Larry Cohen and the dozen or so conventions he advocates. The course will be interactive with lots of Q and A.
