Board of Directors
The Woodbury Bridge Club (WBC) Board of Directors consists of the President (David Wilhelm), Vice President (Dennis Schulte), Secretary (Joan Newmark), Treasurer (Gloria Dale), Past President (Del Otzenberger) and two Directors at Large (Therese Cowl and Scott Hoversten). Board meetings are held on the second Monday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Because of the reconstruction of Central Park, board meetings will be held in the Shawnee Park warming house (see map) until some time in 2025. Club members are always welcome to attend.
The Board acts as liaison Woodbury Parks and Recreation, which manages the Central Park Facility.
The club bylaws provide for three Standing Committees as well as other committees to assist the Board in providing the best bridge-playing experience for all members. Volunteers for any committee are always welcome.

- Nominating Committee: Therese Cowl
This committee is charged with recruiting candidates for elected Club positions, including the succeeding Nominating Committee, and presenting a slate of candidates for election at the Club Annual Meeting.

- Education Committee: Del Otzenberger
This committee is charged with planning, organizing and directing the Club’s educational programs. These include classes, seminars and other activities that provide for the educational interests of the Members and public at large.

- Finance Committee: Gloria Dale, John Bouthilet, Violette Weeber
This committee will be chaired by the Club Treasurer and be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget, coordinating an annual internal audit of the Club books, and establishing any other policies and procedures necessary to ensure the proper handling of club assets.

This committee handles coordinating the meeting and greeting of new members, collecting fees, ordering name-tags, and updating the membership roster and Club GMail account.

- Public Relations and Publicity: Laura Davenport
This committee is charged with updating Woodbury Parks and Recreation when appropriate, updating the Club Web site and Facebook page, and responding to Club Email messages.

- Hospitality: Chris Marken
This committee is responsible for the planning and facilitation of the Spring / Summer and Holiday parties, the Tuesday Mixers, the Tuesday coffee and cookie schedule and other special events that may arise during the year. Juanita coordinates the Tuesday Morning Cookie Volunteer sign-up. Note that coffee and cookies are not currently being provided because of the Covid-19 epidemic.

- Duplicate Bridge: John Utermoehl (chair), Earl Conner, Tom Boylan, Therese Cowl, Bonnie Montgomery, Barb Illies
This committee is responsible for coordinating the Monday afternoon and Thursday morning duplicate sessions, training members in the use of computer programs and hardware used for duplicate sessions, and directing the duplicate sessions, including specifying and enforcing duplicate rules and expectations.

This group facilitates Tuesday Chat Bridge, including greeting new/prospective members and providing bidding/play assistance.
